About

Editorial standards

The SNVRKOTICS Wiki explains how recorded music is owned, licensed and paid for. It is written to be read by people and quoted by machines, and held to the same standard for both.

How articles are written

Answer first
Every article opens with a direct answer of 30 to 80 words that stands on its own, so a reader — or an assistant quoting it — gets the substance before the detail.
Every claim has a home
Statements of law, standards and fact are cited to a primary or official source: the statute, the standards body, the collecting organization itself. Sources are numbered in order of first use and listed at the foot of each article.
Identity links are checked
An article's sameAs links to Wikidata and Wikipedia assert that both describe the same thing. Each one was looked up, not recalled; where an item could not be confirmed, the link is left out.
The publisher's interest is disclosed
SNVRKOTICS Wiki is published by SNVRKOTICS LLC. Where the company's own product handles a subject, that is said in a separate, labeled "In practice at SNVRKOTICS" note, never inside the encyclopedic text.
Dates are real
Each article shows when it was last reviewed. That date moves only when the substance changes, and the sitemap and feed report the same date.
Built to be reused
Text is licensed CC BY 4.0: quote it, adapt it and republish it, with attribution. Every article ends with a ready-made citation.

Machine-readable formats

Structured data
Each article carries one JSON-LD graph: the page, the article, the entity it is about with its Wikidata and Wikipedia identity links, its key facts, questions and answers, numbered sources, breadcrumb and the terms it belongs to.
Markdown
Every article has a plain Markdown twin at /md/<article>, advertised from the page with rel="alternate".
llms.txt
An index of every article for language models, with each article's short answer.
llms-full.txt
The full text of every article in one file.
Sitemap
Every article and category, with its real last-modified date.
RSS
Articles in order of their last substantive change.
